Regarding the case of applying anti-dumping to products of alloy steel wire used for the production of saucepan wool, requested for exemption from anti-dumping measures originating from Malaysia, Thailand and China, the Vietnam Department of Trade Remedies have issued a notice on receipt of dossiers of request for exemption from application of anti-dumping measures for alloy steel wire products within the scope of application of Decision No. 706/QD-BCT on April 15, 2022.
Information presented in the application for temporary exemption from anti-dumping measures for some welding consumable products originating from Malaysia, Thailand and China includes:

Steel grade: TCBS
Standard: Q/TB3049-2013
Intended use: Used for the production of potting wool.
Exemption volume: about 1,500 tons/year

Application for exemption from anti-dumping measures
According to the information of the enterprise requesting exemption from anti-dumping measures, the alloy steel wire products with the steel mark have the above characteristics, including standards, intended use, physical characteristics and chemical composition is not subject to welding consumable products subject to temporary anti-dumping measures under Decision No. 706/QD-BCT.
In order to collect enough information related to the case to make an official decision on the application for exemption from anti-dumping measures, the Trade Remedies Department recommends that the stakeholders in the case need to submit comments on the proposal, including information on the ability to manufacture and supply products requested for exemption by domestic manufacturers, as well as other important information under the guidance of the Vietnam Department of Trade Remedies .
Feedback should be submitted by July 1, 2022. After this deadline, stakeholders will be considered to have no opinion on the above product waiver.
