As a member of Berne convention, a copyright in Vietnam can be automatically protected for works created by the state members. Meanwhile, the applicant could also register their copyright in Vietnam to get the copyright certificate.

- Business Registration Certificate (applied if applicant is entity only)
- Identity Card (applied if applicant is individual only)
- Description of the writing work (Advised by ASL LAW)
- Verification Documents (Advised by ASL LAW)
+ Time to obtain the certificate of writing work copyright: 5-10 days
2. Protecting software copyright in Vietnam
Software in Vietnam is protected under copyright, but invention as in some countries.
