On June 19, 2026, the Minister of Industry and Trade issued Decision No. 1453/QD-BCT initiating a sunset review of the application of anti-dumping (AD) measures on certain welding materials originating from Malaysia, Thailand, and China, under Case No. ER01.AD15.
On July 6, 2026, the Trade Remedies Authority of Vietnam (TRAV) issued Notice No. 99/TB-PVTM regarding the issuance of Investigation Questionnaires for domestic producers and importers. According to the initial notice, the deadline for submitting the questionnaire responses was before 5:00 p.m. on August 13, 2026.
Based on extension requests submitted by domestic producers, the investigating authority has decided to extend the deadline for domestic producers and importers to submit their questionnaire responses. Accordingly, enterprises may submit their responses before 5:00 p.m. on September 13, 2026 (Hanoi time).
After the above deadline, the investigating authority may use the best information available in accordance with the laws on trade remedies for the purpose of conducting the review.
Relevant enterprises should continue to comply with other requirements and instructions set out in the Investigation Questionnaires issued together with Notice No. 99/TB-PVTM dated July 6, 2026 by the TRAV.
