Recently, A Vietnam Labor Law Conference 2021 just took place in Ho Chi Minh City. Improvement in the new Vietnam Labor Code 2021
As for the differences of the Labor Code in 2021, according to information from the speakers, on November 20, 2019, the National Assembly passed the Labor Code 2019 and it took effect on January 1, 2021. The new Labor Code 2019 has replaced the old Labor Code 2012 which has some hindrance and is comparatively out of date compared with the rapid advancement of this industrial era 4.0.
With this new Labor Code, there are many notable changes such as the scope of regulation, regulations on vocational training time, probationary period, labor contract, overtime work, labor regulations, sexual harassment in the workplace.
