According to information from the Department of Trade Remedies (Ministry of Industry and Trade), Thailand’s Ministry of Foreign Trade (DFT) has recently announced that it will review at the end of the period the anti-dumping duty (CBPG) order on two products: coated aluminum alloy steel and color coated steel imported from Vietnam.
Thailand is considering imposing an anti-dumping duty on coated and color coated steel in Vietnam.
Specifically, DFT will review for aluminum alloy coated steel with HS code: 72106111011; 72106111012; 72106111013; 72106111014; 72106111021; 72106111022; 72106111023; 72106111024; 72106111031; 72106111032; 72106111033; 72106111034; 7210611109; 721061911031; 721061911032; 721061911033; 721061911034; 72106191090; 72125021000; 7212502200; 7212502900; 72259990090; 72269919090; 72269999090.

In order to best protect their legitimate rights and interests, the Trade Remedies Department recommends relevant businesses actively monitor and update information about the case. In addition, they must regularly contact and coordinate closely with the Department to receive timely support.
Previously, on September 18, 2015, DFT initiated an anti-dumping investigation for two Vietnamese aluminum-zinc alloy coated steel products and color coated steel products. On March 25, 2017, the Thai Ministry of Foreign Trade issued the final decision, deciding to impose an anti-dumping tax from 4.3% to 60.26% for aluminum alloy coated steel and from 6.2% to 40,49% for color coated steel imported from Vietnam. The anti-dumping duty will be in effect for 5 years.
