II. SCOPE OF WORK
Successful candidates will participate in one or more of the following practice areas, depending on their position, experience, and professional expertise.
1. Litigation Lawyer / Legal Associate
- Conduct legal research, analysis, and provide legal advice on corporate, oversea investment, commercial, employment, M&A, contractual, and dispute resolution matters;
- Draft legal opinions, legal memoranda, due diligence reports, transaction documents, and other legal documents;
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, transaction agreements, employment contracts according to employment law in Vietnam, and related legal documents;
- Participate in legal due diligence, transaction structuring, and implementation of M&A transactions;
- Represent and assist clients in dispute resolution before courts, arbitration, negotiation, and mediation proceedings;
- Communicate and work with clients, business partners, government authorities, and other relevant parties;
- For Senior Associates: allocate work, supervise progress, review work quality, and mentor junior team members.
2. Intellectual Property Positions
- Provide legal advice, prepare IP applications, liaise with government authorities, and coordinate with domestic and international industrial property representatives;
- Hold a bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Law, Technical Languages, Intellectual Property, Science, Engineering, Technology, or other related disciplines;
- Demonstrate attention to detail, strong legal reasoning, research capability, deadline management, and the ability to work independently;
- Preference will be given to candidates with specialized IP training, an Industrial Property Representative Certificate, and/or a practicing lawyer license.
III. CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
1. Litigation Lawyer
- Experience handling or assisting in litigation matters before Courts or Arbitration;
- Experience in commercial, employment, land, or contractual disputes is preferred;
- Strong analytical skills in reviewing case files, developing legal arguments, preparing evidence, and communicating with clients;
- Ability to work under pressure, manage case timelines, and handle unexpected developments;
- Lawyer’s practicing certificate is an advantage;
- English proficiency is an advantage.
2. Associate
- Bachelor’s degree in Law; candidates who have completed lawyer training are preferred;
- At least 4–5 years of legal experience;
- Strong legal research, analytical, and drafting skills;
- Proactive, responsible, detail-oriented, and committed to confidentiality;
- Lawyer’s practicing certificate or lawyer apprenticeship is an advantage;
- Experience working with FDI clients from the United States, China, South Korea, or Japan is preferred;
- Foreign languages: English required; Chinese or Korean is an advantage.
3. Senior Associate
- Minimum 7 years of legal experience;
- Ability to independently handle complex legal matters;
- Strong management, quality control, and mentoring capabilities;
- Experience working with corporate, FDI, or international clients;
- Holder of a practicing lawyer license;
- Excellent English proficiency; Chinese or Korean is an advantage;
- Experience serving FDI clients from the United States, China, South Korea, or Japan is preferred.
4. Trademark Position
- Experience conducting trademark searches, assessing registrability, filing, and prosecuting trademark applications in Vietnam and overseas;
- Experience handling oppositions, appeals, invalidation, cancellation, renewals, assignments, and trademark licensing;
- Experience advising on trademark infringement, trademark disputes, and copyright matters is an advantage;
- Law graduates or candidates with extensive trademark and copyright experience are preferred;
- Foreign languages: English required; Chinese is an advantage.
5. Patent Position
- Degree in Engineering, Technical Languages, Science, Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, or related fields;
- Law graduates must possess practical experience in patent matters;
- Experience in patent searching, patentability assessment, drafting, prosecution, and portfolio management;
- Ability to read, understand, and translate patent specifications in English; technical expertise in one or more specialized fields is preferred;
- Experience handling patent oppositions, appeals, maintenance, assignments, licensing, and patent disputes is an advantage;
- Foreign languages: English required; Chinese is an advantage.
