On 20 November 2025, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Decision No. 3377/QĐ-BCT together with its accompanying Notice, officially initiating the sunset review of the anti-dumping measure currently applied to certain sorbitol products originating from India, Indonesia, and China. This is a necessary procedural step to assess whether the measure should be continued, amended, or terminated in accordance with the Law on Foreign Trade Management.
In the initial phase of the review, a questionnaire was released to collect data from foreign producers and exporters, importers, as well as domestic organizations and enterprises concerned. The information gathered serves as a key basis for evaluating the likelihood of continued dumping or injury should the anti-dumping measure not be extended.
The questionnaire has been made publicly available on the Trade Remedies Authority’s online submission system at online.trav.gov.vn and on the official website of the competent body under the Ministry of Industry and Trade. This public disclosure allows stakeholders to promptly access the documents and fulfil their information-submission obligations in accordance with procedural requirements.
The deadline for submitting responses is set before 9 January 2026 (Hanoi time). Stakeholders may submit their responses online through the Trade Remedies Authority’s submission system. All technical guidelines, dossier requirements, templates, and submission rules are clearly provided in the instructions attached to the questionnaire to assist enterprises in complying with the process.
All data provided by stakeholders will be processed and kept confidential in accordance with the law, specifically Article 75 of the Law on Foreign Trade Management and Article 11 of Decree No. 86/2025/NĐ-CP, ensuring that sensitive business information is not disclosed beyond the scope of the investigation.
To protect their legitimate interests, manufacturers and exporters should familiarize themselves with the procedure and actively contact Vietnam Antidumping Law Firm specializing in anti-dumping and trade remedy for timely assistance.
