On August 12, 2024, the Trade Remedies Authority of Vietnam (TRAV) under the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Notification No. 106/TB-PVTM regarding the issuance of an investigation questionnaire for foreign manufacturers/exporters in the anti-dumping investigation on hot rolled steel (HRC) from India and China.
On March 19, 2024, the Trade Remedies Authority of Vietnam received a petition to initiate an anti-dumping investigation on hot rolled steel products originating from China and India, submitted by several steel manufacturers in Vietnam.
On June 14, 2024, the Trade Remedies Authority of Vietnam issued a notification confirming that the petition for the anti-dumping investigation on hot rolled steel from India and China was complete and valid according to the regulations on trade remedies.
On July 26, 2024, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam issued Decision No. 1985/QĐ-BCT to initiate an anti-dumping investigation on certain hot rolled steel products from India and China.
The Trade Remedies Authority (Investigating Authority) sent the official investigation questionnaire to foreign manufacturers/exporters identified by the Investigating Authority. The questionnaire response must include a confidential version and a limited circulation version in electronic data format. The Investigating Authority will only consider responses received before 5:00 PM on September 18, 2024 (Hanoi time) through the TRAV ONLINE system.
The questionnaire response must be submitted via the Trade Remedies Authority’s online submission system (TRAV ONLINE). The response will only be considered timely if all related documents are submitted through the TRAV ONLINE system.
