On December 15, 2023, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam issued a notice regarding the extension of the deadline for submitting responses to the investigation of the end-of-term review of applying anti-dumping measures on cold-rolled stainless steel products for both domestic producers and importers (case code: ER02.AD01).
On October 23, 2023, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Decision No. 2752/QD-BCT on the end-of-term review investigation applying anti-dumping measures to certain cold-rolled stainless steel products originating from China, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Taiwan.
On November 7, 2023, the Trade Remedies Authority of Vietnam (the investigating agency) issued Official Letter No. 908/PVTM-P2 to domestic manufacturing companies and importers regarding the issuance of the Questionnaire. The deadline for submitting responses was set for December 16, 2023.
However, it was observed that the given timeframe was insufficient for the involved parties to provide accurate and complete feedback. Consequently, the investigating agency received requests for an extension of the response deadline. Considering objective factors, the investigating agency agreed to extend the deadline for responding to the questionnaire for both importers and domestic producers until 5:00 PM on December 29, 2023.
After the mentioned deadline, if the parties have not provided complete or accurate information, the investigating agency may use available data according to trade remedies legislation to issue a final decision. Generally, decisions based on available data may disadvantage the relevant parties with higher imposed taxes.
Other required actions should be carried out according to the instructions in the questionnaire issued with Official Letter No. 908/PVTM-P2 dated November 7, 2023, from the Trade Remedies Authority.
