On November 20, 2023, the Trade Remedies Authority of Vietnam, under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, issued Notice No. 192/TB-PVTM regarding the extension of the deadline for the submission of responses to inquiries for the end-of-term review of anti-dumping measures on aluminum products from China (case code: ER01.AD05).
On September 28, 2019, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam issued Decision No. 2942/QD-BCT imposing official anti-dumping measures on certain aluminum products originating from China. Decision No. 2942/QD-BCT is effective for a period of five years from the date of issuance. The goods subject to official anti-dumping duties are classified under the following HS codes: 7604.10.10; 7604.10.90; 7604.21.90; 7604.29.10; 7604.29.90.
On April 20, 2021, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam issued Decision No. 1282/QD-BCT regarding the results of the first review of the application of anti-dumping measures on certain aluminum products originating from China.
On January 16, 2023, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam issued Decision No. 74/QD-BCT regarding the results of the second review of the application of anti-dumping measures on certain aluminum products originating from China.
On July 4, 2023, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam publicly announced the official commencement of accepting submissions for the end-of-term review of the application of anti-dumping measures on aluminum products originating from China.
On August 4, 2023, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam received submission requests for the end-of-term review from domestic manufacturing enterprises in Vietnam.
On October 3, 2023, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam issued Decision No. 2537/QD-BCT regarding the conduct of the end-of-term review of the application of anti-dumping measures on certain aluminum products imported into Vietnam from China.
On October 18, 2023, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam issued Decision No. 837/PVTM-P2 regarding the issuance of the questionnaire for the end-of-term review in case ER01.AD05 (the review of aluminum products from China). The deadline for submitting responses to the questionnaire is November 28, 2023.
Due to the limited time for related parties to prepare sufficient information for the case, some parties have requested an extension of the deadline for submitting responses to the investigating authority. After receiving and determining that the extension request is reasonable, the investigating authority has agreed to extend the deadline for responding to the questionnaire for importers, domestic producers, and foreign manufacturers/exporters.
Importers and domestic producers have an extended deadline until 5:00 PM on December 13, 2023.
Foreign manufacturers/exporters have an extended deadline until 5:00 PM on December 11, 2023 (Hanoi time).
After the aforementioned deadlines, the investigating authority may use available data in accordance with trade remedy laws.
For other matters, related parties should continue to follow the instructions in the questionnaire accompanying Official Letter No. 837/PVTM-P2.
