On February 2, 2024, the United States Department of Commerce issued an official notice regarding the time frame for accepting petitions for administrative review of anti-dumping and countervailing duty orders on certain imported products from Vietnam.
The products subject to the announcement for administrative review include:
(1) Certain frozen warmwater shrimp (case number: A-552-802);
(2) Steel wire garment hangers (A-552-812);
(3) Utility-scale wind towers (A-552-814).
These three products fall under the administrative review of anti-dumping duties. The administrative review period for anti-dumping duties covers from February 1, 2023, to January 31, 2024.
In addition to the administrative review of anti-dumping duties, the DOC is also accepting petitions for the administrative review of countervailing duties on steel wire garment hangers (case number: C-552-813). The countervailing duty administrative review period runs from January 1, 2023, to December 31, 2023.
According to U.S. legal regulations, the deadline for relevant parties to submit petitions for administrative review is before February 29, 2024.
Associations and businesses exporting related products should proactively seek information and contact legal entities with expertise in the field of anti-dumping and trade remedy in Vietnam and internationally to receive timely assistance.
Full cooperation with the U.S. investigating agency throughout the administrative review process is crucial to ensure positive review outcomes. Any actions demonstrating non-cooperation or insufficient cooperation may lead to the U.S. investigating agency using unfavorable available evidence or applying higher anti-dumping and countervailing duty rates for the businesses involved.
