On December 26, 2024, the Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR) of India initiated an anti-dumping investigation on nylon filament yarn originating in or imported from China and Vietnam.
The product under investigation is nylon filament yarn, classified under HS Codes: 54021910; 54021990; 54023100; 54023200; 54024500; 54025100; 54026100, and 54021920.
The petitioners in this case are Century Enka Private Limited, Gujarat Polyfilms Private Limited, and Oriilon India Private Limited.
Investigation Period:
(i) Period of Investigation (POI): April 1, 2023 – June 30, 2024 (15 months);
(ii) Injury Investigation Period: April 1, 2020 – March 31, 2021; April 1, 2021 – March 31, 2022; April 1, 2022 – March 31, 2023, and the POI.
Currently, the petitioners have not proposed product classification numbers (PCNs) for price comparisons. DGTR has invited interested parties to provide comments and proposals on the product scope and PCNs within 15 days of the investigation initiation, with the deadline being January 9, 2025.
Relevant information must be submitted to DGTR within 30 days from the date the public version of the petition is delivered to the enterprises or diplomatic representatives of the exporting countries. If no information is provided within the stipulated time and format, DGTR will use available facts to draw conclusions in the case.

To promptly address the case, Vietnamese enterprises producing and exporting the investigated goods should proactively provide comments on the product scope and PCNs and submit the information to DGTR in the prescribed format and within the required time frame to safeguard their interests.
