On September 3, 2024, the U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC) announced the initiation of the third final end-of-term review on the anti-dumping duty order regarding uncovered innerspring units from Vietnam, which are used in the production of mattresses.
The investigated product is uncovered innerspring units, classified under HS codes 9404.29.9010; 9404.10.0000; 9404.29.9005; 9404.29.9011; 7326.20.0070; 7326.20.0090; 7320.20.5010, or 7326.20.0071. This product has been subject to anti-dumping duties by the U.S. since December 2008 (Case Number: A-552-803).
According to U.S. trade remedy regulations, the U.S. Trade Remedy Agency conducts a final end-of-term review every five years. If the review concludes that the removal of the anti-dumping duties would likely lead to the continuation or recurrence of dumping that causes significant harm to the U.S. domestic industry, the order will remain in place for another five years.
To safeguard their legitimate interests, relevant manufacturers and exporters are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the U.S. review regulations and procedures and proactively engage with Vietnamese law firms with expertise in anti-dumping and trade remedy matters for timely assistance.
