From September 15 to 20, 2024, ASL LAW participated in the International Bar Association (IBA) 2024 conference in Mexico, which brought together leading legal professionals from around the world.
At this event, we engaged with experts to discuss pressing international topics such as digital transformation in the judiciary, the legal implications of artificial intelligence, and solutions for resolving global commercial disputes.
Notably, key discussions on intellectual property protection and climate change provided new perspectives, helping the ASL LAW team enhance their knowledge and expand international collaboration.
Highlights at IBA 2024 Mexico
The annual IBA 2024 conference in Mexico City is a special event featuring a variety of discussions, workshops, and social events for legal professionals from all over the world. The key topics discussed at the conference included international arbitration, dispute resolution, human rights, press freedom, and the role of law in global society and business.
Additionally, some events were led by specialized committees, exemplified by workshops on innovations in legal practice and in-depth discussions on current issues such as the application of technology in resolving legal and global commercial disputes.

The conference attracted participants from over 130 countries, including consultants, in-house advisors, judges, and regulatory agencies, creating an ideal environment for knowledge exchange and professional networking.
Additionally, social events such as the welcome party and closing reception offered opportunities to experience the rich culture of Mexico while expanding professional relationships with top international lawyers and partners attending the event.
The conference also hosted educational programs, notably the IBA/Barbri negotiation skills course and the moot court competition, providing many opportunities for professional development for attendees.
