On March 2, 2025, the Vietnam Trade Remedies Authority (Ministry of Industry and Trade) announced that it had received information from the Vietnam Trade Office in Belgium stating that the European Commission had accepted a valid petition requesting the initiation of an anti-dumping investigation into imported copper tubes originating from Vietnam.
In the event that the case is officially initiated, the EU investigating authority will send relevant documents to interested parties, including the petition for investigation, the notice of initiation, and investigation questionnaires to collect information. At present, the investigating authority is collecting data on Vietnamese companies exporting copper tubes to the European market.
In light of these developments, the Vietnam Trade Remedies Authority recommends that relevant enterprises proactively provide their company information to the authority. The required information includes the company name, address, email address, contact person, as well as the export volume and value (in USD) of copper tube products exported to the EU in 2023, 2024, and 2025. Providing this information will assist the Vietnam Trade Remedies Authority in consolidating and forwarding it to the European Commission, while also supporting enterprises in monitoring the progress of the case and developing appropriate response strategies.
