The Vietnam M&A Forum 2025, a prominent event dedicated to mergers and acquisitions and investment connectivity, announced List of Outstanding M&A Deals of 2024-2025.
Over the past 16 years, the Forum has attracted many renowned speakers and senior leaders from investment funds, consulting organizations, corporations, and enterprises across Vietnam and worldwide. The Forum has published the List of Outstanding M&A Deals of 2024-2025 in Vietnam.
As part of the 17th Vietnam M&A Forum, a recognition program was launched to honor enterprises with outstanding M&A deals during the 2024–2025 period. This year, some of the most prominient companies were selected for their notable deals, which have contributed significantly to shaping Vietnam’s dynamic and evolving oversea investment landscape. Below are some of the most remarkable deals and the companies honored.
Companies with Notable M&A Deals in 2024–2025
- Saigon – Hanoi Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SHB)
SHB transferred the remaining 50% equity stake in SHBFinance to Bank of Ayudhya (Krungsri, Thailand – a member of MUFG Group, Japan), increasing Krungsri’s ownership to 76.88%.
The transaction was valued at approximately VND 3.6 trillion.
- Masan Group
Masan completed the divestment of its 100% equity interest in H.C. Starck Holding (Germany) GmbH to Mitsubishi Materials Corporation.
The transaction value amounted to USD 134.5 million.
- Saigon Beer – Alcohol – Beverage Corporation (SABECO)
SABECO acquired Sabibeco by purchasing nearly 38 million shares, bringing its total investment to over VND 830 billion.
The transaction aims to support restructuring efforts and strengthen SABECO’s leading position in Vietnam’s beer industry.
- FiinRatings
FiinRatings sold a 43.4% equity stake to S&P Global Ratings.
Following the transaction, S&P Global became FiinRatings’ international strategic partner, contributing to the enhancement of Vietnam’s credit rating standards.

- CapitaLand Group
CapitaLand acquired and developed The Fullton low-rise villa project in the Hai Dang subdivision of Vinhomes Ocean Park 3, with a total area of 25 hectares.
The project represents a strategic partnership between CapitaLand Development and Vinhomes, featuring a gated community model built to international standards.
- United Overseas Australia Ltd (UOA)
UOA completed the acquisition of a 2,000-square-meter commercial land plot in central Ho Chi Minh City for USD 68 million.
The company plans to develop a Grade A office building with an estimated total investment of USD 120 million.
- Quadria Capital
Quadria Capital, in partnership with Dale Investment Holdings, acquired a 73.15% stake in Tam Tri Medical Group from VinaCapital’s Vietnam Opportunity Fund (VOF).
The transaction value exceeded VND 805.9 billion.
- ABEO Group
ABEO acquired a 70% equity stake in Sodex Sport, a sports equipment manufacturer headquartered in Vietnam.
The transaction was executed through the acquisition of the parent company owning 100% of the FDI enterprise in Vietnam.
- Golden Gate Group
Golden Gate Group acquired 100% of the shares in the company owning The Coffee House chain, which operates nearly 100 outlets nationwide.
This transaction is among the most notable M&A deals in Vietnam’s F&B sector in 2025.
- Sustainable Asia Renewable Assets (SARA)
SARA, a subsidiary of SUSI Partners, acquired the Dam Nai wind power project (39.4 MW) in Ninh Thuan from Scatec (Norway).
The transaction, valued at approximately USD 40 million, stands out as a notable M&A deal in Vietnam’s renewable energy sector in 2025.
