On November 23, 2021, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Decision No. 2644/QĐ-BCT imposing official anti-dumping duties on certain Sorbitol products originating from India, Indonesia, and China (Case Code AD14).
The products subject to investigation and anti-dumping measures are Sorbitol in both solution and powder form, commonly used in the food processing, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, and several other manufacturing industries. Sorbitol is an important raw material that can substitute sugar, functioning as a sweetener, humectant, and stabilizer.
Pursuant to Article 51 of Decree No. 86/2025/NĐ-CP detailing the implementation of certain provisions of the Law on Foreign Trade Management concerning trade remedy measures, the Trade Remedies Authority of Vietnam (the investigating authority) hereby announces the receipt of a request for review of anti-dumping measures applicable to Sorbitol products imported from India, Indonesia, and China.
In accordance with Article 56 of Decree No. 86/2025/NĐ-CP, interested parties are entitled to submit requests for review. Such requests must include complete information and documentation as stipulated in Clause 1, Article 57 of Decree No. 86/2025/NĐ-CP.
The deadline for submission of requests to the investigating authority is October 24, 2025.
