On June 13, 2025, the Minister of Industry and Trade of Vietnam signed Decision No. 1686/QD-BCT accompanied by a Notice on the initiation of the final review of anti-dumping and countervailing measures imposed on certain sugar products originating from the Kingdom of Thailand, under case code ER01.AD13-AS01.
Within the framework of the case, the investigating authority has issued a questionnaire to domestic producers and relevant importers to collect necessary information and data for the investigation process. Specifically:
- The questionnaire is publicly available on the Trade Remedies Submission System (online.trav.gov.vn), as well as the websites of the Investigating Authority (www.pvtm.gov.vn) and the Ministry of Industry and Trade (www.moit.gov.vn);
- Deadline for submission of the response: before 5:00 PM (Hanoi time) on August 6, 2025;
- Detailed instructions on how to respond, applicable regulations, and the method of submission are specified in Appendix 3 and the accompanying materials provided in the questionnaire.
To protect their legitimate rights and interests, the investigating authority recommends that domestic producers and relevant importers actively participate in the review by responding to the questionnaire and fully cooperating throughout the investigation. The information provided in the responses will serve as an important basis for the investigating authority to analyze, assess, and issue the final conclusion of the case.
In cases where parties fail to submit responses on time or provide incomplete or inaccurate information, the investigating authority may apply the provisions under Article 10 of Decree No. 10/2018/ND-CP regarding the treatment of non-cooperative parties in trade remedy investigations.
Enterprises are advised to thoroughly review the instructions provided in the questionnaire to ensure their responses are complete, in the correct format, quantity, structure, and within the prescribed deadline.
