Recently, the Anti-Dumping Commission of Australia, under the Department of Industry, Science, and Resources, announced the initiation of an anti-dumping investigation on hot-rolled deformed steel reinforcing bars in lengths imported from, or originating in, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Turkey, and Vietnam.
The petitioner, Australia’s Infrabuild NSW Pty Limited, has requested an investigation into the aforementioned products, under HS codes: 7214.20.00; 7228.30.10; 7228.30.90; and 7228.60.10. The period of investigation is from July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024.
The Anti-Dumping Commission (ADC) has issued questionnaires to Vietnamese exporters, with the deadline for responses set for October 31, 2024. The ADC is expected to issue a Preliminary Finding on November 25, 2024 (subject to extension), release a Statement of Essential Facts on January 13, 2025, and issue the Final Determination by February 26, 2025.
