On June 13, 2025, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Decision No. 1686/QĐ-BCT on the initiation of the final review of the application of official anti-dumping and countervailing measures on certain sugar products originating from the Kingdom of Thailand (case code: ER01.AD13-AS01). The scope, contents, and timeline of the investigation are detailed in Decision No. 1686/QĐ-BCT and the accompanying Notice.
Accordingly, the Trade Remedies Authority of Vietnam, acting as the investigating authority, has issued the official questionnaire to foreign producers and exporters identified by the authority. The deadline for completing and submitting the responses is before August 6, 2025 (Hanoi time).
To safeguard their legitimate rights and interests, relevant foreign producers and exporters are encouraged to actively participate and fully cooperate throughout the investigation process. The information provided in the questionnaire responses will serve as the basis for the investigating authority to consider sampling for the purpose of limiting the scope of the investigation, if necessary.
In cases where a company fails to submit the response on time or provides inaccurate or incomplete information, the investigating authority will apply the provisions of Article 75 of the Law on Foreign Trade Management and may use available data to make a determination.
All information and data in the responses, as well as the right to access information during the investigation, will be kept confidential in accordance with Article 11 of Decree No. 10/2018/NĐ-CP dated January 15, 2018.
Enterprises are advised to carefully read the instructions in the questionnaire and strictly comply with the required format, method of response, and submission deadline.
