On September 23, 2024, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam issued Decision No. 2531/QD-BCT on the end-of-term review results concerning the application of anti-dumping measures on certain aluminum products originating from China.
On September 28, 2019, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Decision No. 2942/QD-BCT to apply official anti-dumping duties on specific aluminum products originating from China. This decision was valid for five years from the date of issuance. The goods subject to official anti-dumping duties are classified under the following HS codes: 7604.10.10; 7604.10.90; 7604.21.90; 7604.29.10; and 7604.29.90.
On April 20, 2021, the Ministry issued Decision No. 1282/QD-BCT on the first review results regarding the application of anti-dumping measures for certain aluminum products from China. Then, on January 16, 2023, the Ministry issued Decision No. 74/QD-BCT for the second review results.
On October 3, 2023, the Ministry of Industry and Trade initiated the end-of-term review of anti-dumping duties on imported aluminum products from China through Decision No. 2537/QD-BCT.
On September 23, 2024, the Ministry released Decision No. 2531/QD-BCT, extending the anti-dumping measures for an additional five years. The anti-dumping duty rates will range from 2.85% to 35.58%.
The Investigating Authority concluded that there is a likelihood of continued or repeated dumping, which could harm the domestic industry if anti-dumping measures were lifted.
In the coming period, the Ministry will coordinate with relevant authorities to ensure the effective implementation of the Decision, promoting a fair and competitive environment for domestic industries in accordance with legal regulations.
