On September 6, 2024, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam issued Decision No. 2386/QD-BCT regarding the review of the application of anti-circumvention measures related to trade remedy measures on certain sugar products.
On August 3, 2023, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam issued Decision No. 1989/QD-BCT on the results of the first review of the application of anti-dumping and anti-subsidy measures on certain sugar products originating from Thailand.
According to Clause 1, Article 58 of Decree No. 10/2018/ND-CP, within 60 days before the end of one year from the date of the decision to apply official anti-dumping measures or the latest decision on the results of the anti-dumping measure review, relevant parties may submit a request file for review.
During this period, the Trade Remedies Authority received a review request from the Vietnam Sugarcane Association, representing domestic producers, requesting a review of the anti-circumvention measures related to trade remedies on certain sugar products.
Based on the review of the files submitted by the relevant parties in accordance with the law, on September 6, 2024, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Decision No. 2386/QD-BCT on the review of the application of anti-circumvention measures related to trade remedy measures on certain sugar products (case code: AR01.AC02.AD13-AS01).
Organizations and individuals registering as related parties must submit their applications within sixty (60) working days from the effective date of the review decision. The deadline for registering as a related party is November 29, 2024.
