On March 25, 2025, the Trade Remedies Authority of Vietnam under the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued a notice on the extension of the deadline for the new exporter review in the trade remedy evasion investigation on sugar products.
On December 24, 2024, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Decision No. 3486/QĐ-BCT regarding the new exporter review in the case of applying anti-evasion trade remedy measures on certain sugar products (Case Code: NR03.AC02.AD13-AS01).
To allow for a more comprehensive and objective assessment of the relevant issues, pursuant to Articles 82 and 90 of the Law on Foreign Trade Management No. 05/2017/QH14, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has issued Decision No. 848/QĐ-BCT to extend the deadline for the new exporter review in this case by an additional three months.
Accordingly, the investigation is now set to conclude on June 24, 2025.
