The Trade Remedies Authority of Vietnam under the Ministry of Industry and Trade has recently issued an announcement regarding the acceptance of applications for the end-of-term review of the imposition of anti-dumping and countervailing measures in the investigation of certain sugar products originating from Thailand.
On June 15, 2021, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Decision No. 1578/QĐ-BCT, officially imposing anti-dumping and countervailing duties on certain sugar products originating from Thailand (Case No. AD13.AS01).
Pursuant to Article 62 of Decree No. 10/2018/NĐ-CP, no later than 12 months before the expiration of the anti-dumping and countervailing measures, the investigating authority shall issue a notification regarding the acceptance of applications for the end-of-term review of these measures.
The scope of the end-of-term review is detailed in Clause 2, Article 82, and Clause 2, Article 90 of the Law on Foreign Trade Management, as well as in Article 63 of Decree No. 10/2018/NĐ-CP.
The Trade Remedies Authority of Vietnam has officially announced the acceptance of applications for the end-of-term review of this case. Domestic producers have the right to submit their applications within 30 days from the date of this announcement. The end-of-term deadline for submission to the Trade Remedies Authority of Vietnam is April 21, 2025.
