On August 23, 2024, the Turkish Ministry of Commerce issued a notice extending the application of anti-dumping duties on conveyor belts originating from or imported from China, India, and Vietnam.
The investigated product, subject to the extended anti-dumping duty, is conveyor belts (transmission belts) with trapezoidal cross-sections, classified under HS codes 4010.32, 4010.34, and 4010.39.
The decision on unfair competition prevention in imports is effective under the Decision of the Council of Ministers No. 99/13482 and Law No. 30, which was drafted based on the Regulation on Unfair Competition Prevention in Imports of Turkey.
The anti-dumping duty is set at USD 3.15/kg and will be applied for a period of five years starting from August 23, 2024.
It should be noted that:
- Changes made regarding tariffs and/or the definition of the product being restricted in the Trade General Terms and Conditions (TGTC) do not pose an obstacle to the enforcement of the provisions of this notice.
- The trade remedy measures within the scope of this notice will expire after 5 years from the effective date. Moreover, if a end-of-term review investigation is initiated before the expiration of the measure within the scope of this notice, the measure will remain in effect until the investigation is concluded.
