Recently, the Korea Trade Commission officially announced the acceptance of a request for an anti-dumping investigation into cold rolled stainless steel from Vietnam.
The goods, known in English as cold rolled stainless steel, are classified under HS codes 7219.31.1010, 7219.31.1090, 7219.31.9000, 7219.32.1010, 7219.32.1090, 7219.32.9000, 7219.33.1010, 7219.33.1090, 7219.33.9000, 7219.34.1010, 7219.34.1090, 7219.34.9000, 7219.35.1010, 7219.35.1090, 7219.35.9000, 7219.90.1010, 7219.90.1090, 7219.90.9000, 7220.20.1010, 7220.20.1090, 7220.20.9000, 7220.90.1010, 7220.90.1090, 7220.90.9000.
In the coming period, the Korean investigative authorities will verify the contents of the investigation request, checking the accuracy, validity, and completeness of the dossier before issuing a formal notice to initiate the investigation. If additional information or amendments are needed, the investigative authorities will notify the petitioner.
Once the dossier is deemed valid, the investigative authorities will issue an official notice to initiate the investigation and will send an investigative questionnaire to foreign producers and exporters, including those from Vietnam, as well as importers in Korea, to collect relevant information and documents.
